Dr. Irin Pervin Lopa was born on January 17, 1970, in the Muslim family of Old Dhaka’s based culture society . Father Khalilur Rahman, Mother Zilfatun Nasa.
She acted on stage only at the age of five and from the age of six, her culture walk started with participation in “Nuton Kori” program in Bangladesh Television.
In addition to various childhood organizations including Bangladesh Shishu Academy, Kachikachar Mela, Chander Hat, Khelaghar, etc. She have won rewards by participating in various competitions of songs, dance, poetry, recitation and acting.
At the age of only Eight she started acting the children’s drama
organization “Shishuthirtho” regularly on stage.
She received Bangladesh Shishu Academyaward for Best Children’s, and participated in various school-based competitions, as a child artist in addition to TV and Film media also.
After the adolescence was finished, she joined “Theater”(Arambagh) and started acting on the stage regularly.She performed all the plays of the Theatre , like “Sattghater er Kanakori”, “Rakhkhushi”, “Bata brikhkher Dharamkaram”, “Khamakha Khamakha”, and assisted to director of drama “King Lear” and “Rupovan”.
In 1993, after receiving the scholarship Government of India, she got the opportunity to study at Rabindra Bharati University in West Bengal. After completing Master’s degree with honors in the drama, she got the first position in the first division and earned the university’s gold medal. Completed Ph.D under the supervision of Professor Ashok Mukhopadhyay, India’s renowned drama personality.
While studying at Rabindra Bharati University, she played major role in each of the productions of the drama section at the time of her studies.
During that time of India, renowned instructors Ratan Thiyum, Bibhas Chakraborty, Ashok Mukhopadhyay, Usha Ganguly, Prabir Guha and Manoj Mitra have had the opportunity to work with many famous directors.
That time she also worked
London’s Shakespearean Drama Company “Royal Shakespeare’s Theater Company” had the rare opportunity in the month-long workshop.
In 2010, she formed “Natyam Repartory”
production of “Domer Mader”, “Cyclewala” is being regularly staged, new production is “Prolombito Prahar”, the famous dramatist Monchasarthi Ataur Rahman has been performing.
Her others work on stage, there are more than 86 drama costume plans, set plans in 17, Light plans 20, more than 30 plays have directed. Acting on stage more than 30, and 400 hundred volumes of one hour drama and serials in Bangladesh Television and various private TV channels.
She has been honored with many awards from child artistes in various ways at different times.
In stage drama field notable among them – Bangladesh Mahila Parishad Sanmanana, Bangladesh Television Visionary Forum honors, Natyatirtha honors, Mymensingh’s Onsammble theater honors, Comilla’s “Pratibimbo” theater honors, Poet Jasim Uddin Sannamana, “Theater” made Zakaria podok 2014, Osaka pofok from Japan 2008, Komio Happyee podok 2011 etc .
She was as a guest teacher, Bangladesh Independent University, Stamford University, Visha-Bharati University of India, Burdhuman University, Chorus Repartory Theatre Gurukul Imphal, Manipur.
Now working as a regular teacher – in Abdullah Al Mamun Theater School, Nagorik Nattayonggon Institute andpart-time faculty in North South Unuversity.
