The current 6 month basic course includes theorical subjects like theories of drama, history of Western and Bengali theatre, Bangldesh theatre scene, traditional theatre, aesthetics etc. In practical classes strudents are exposed to acting, speech, voice modulation, pronunciation, dance, music, improvisation, theatre games etc.
Two productions – one classroom and another final are staged with students taking part. Students are reauired to study in depth 10 plays and witness a few stage productions on which they are to submit criticism.
At the end of the course, they have to give written exams as well as viva.
Admission Form can be collected from Abduallh Al-Mamun Theatre School/ Theatre Corner (New Baily Road)/ Coffee House (Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy)/ Bidit (Aziz Super Market, Shahbag) for BDT 100 or can be downloaded from this website (form must be submitted with BDT 100).
Course Fee BDT 6000 is to be paid at a time during the admission.
